Serendipity Restaurant

Upmarket and chic with an emphasis on unforgettable gourmet food, Serendipity stands out as an experience that cannot be missed!

Executive chef, Lizelle Stolze is crowned with numerous awards and qualifications. Apart from excellent local and international experience Lizelle is a dux Cum laude student of Prue Leith Academy of Food and Wine where she gained top honours as a student. Serendipity offers a five course South African inspired table d’hÔte menu.

Bongos Bar & Pizzeria

The Bongo’s Pizza Lounge in Wilderness is the ideal spot to fill up and be refreshed while on road trips along the Garden Route and through the Western Cape. It is relaxed and welcoming, ideal for groups of friends or families to enjoy the hospitality. The food is hearty and comforting, with flavour bursts to tantalise.

The pizzas are novel and delicious, considered by some to be the best in the area. They boast intriguing names, such as the Hannibal, Bongolia, Hooligan and Common Coot. Although renowned for pizza, there are other choices on the menu, including lasagne and moreish nachos. The wine list is basic, but leaves nothing out, and there are a number of cocktails as well as fresh sangria.

For winter evenings, an inviting fireplace is irresistible. There is an area for children, complete with colouring activities at Bongo’s Pizza Lounge.

Timberlake Farm Stall & Organic Food

At Timberlake we do our best to support the local artisan producer. Most of the goods sold in our Specialist Cabins are crafted by locals who practise their skills, often handed down through generations, with passion and excellence.

We take great care in sourcing the products we stock making sure our foods are fresh, wholesome and safe to eat. Supporting your health and wellbeing, each item has a story behind it and we like to make this available to you. We turn our noses up at highly processed and degraded food and support the move to a more organic lifestyle. In our quest to seek out and promote organic products it is early days and we still have a long way to go. But at timberlake we are committed to showing that even with small steps we can each make a difference.

Flava Cafe

Fláva Café... A trendy, stylish, "simple, with taste" venue where you will find restaurant quality food in a café atmosphere.

Fláva Café has become a firm favourite with locals, as well as those visiting our beautiful part of the Garden Route. Situated in the heart of Wilderness, we are lucky enough to have a lovely sunny deck upstairs and out front, where you can enjoy fair weather days and watch village life go by.

Oysters R Us

If you want the ultimate oyster experience then head to Oysters R Us at Boven Lange Valley Farm in the Wilderness. You can’t miss it when driving along the main road through the Wilderness.

This is a major attraction amongst locals living in the area and tourists visiting the wilderness and surrounding areas. This is the place you to come to in order to get the best quality fresh oysters around. These wild oysters are kept in an oyster tank system that will keep up to 4000 oysters live.

This is certainly an experience like no other. Sit back and relax in the open air restaurant while your oysters are freshly shucked and brought to your table. The owners are your hosts, your waitresses and your friends while you are here, making your visit one of a kind. You are welcome to come and collect fresh oysters to take away with you too.

Blue Olive Restaurant

In its setting amongst beautiful, old Milkwood trees, with an expansive wooden deck, the Blue Olive offers patrons delicious and unpretentious food and atmosphere. The breakfast menu groans with decadent offerings, perfect for hungry holidaymakers! Lunch and dinner kick off with mouth-watering starters, including calamari tentacles, chicken livers sautéed in chilli, prawns and rocket and ostrich Carpaccio.

A perfect tapas venue, the Blue Olive has an extensive tapas menu, with morsels that will excite every taste sensation, from oysters, blue cheese and figs and pancetta and Brie to crumbed chicken with chilli mayo. For mains, the pasta menu offers unusual options, such as the chicken liver pasta, with either tagliatelle or penne; or the ‘earth’ pasta, with basil pesto, cherry tomato, butternut and feta, topped with fresh rocket. Vegetarians are catered for with many delightful dishes, including the artichoke pasta, with artichoke, olives, baby tomato, garlic, onion, white wine, Parmesan and basil.

At Zucchini we get excited about the artisanal things around food like hand rolled stone ground flour pasta, brioche burger buns baked everyday for our burgers, our own fruit trees’ ripe fruit picked and cooked into jams and marmalades to name just a few things we love doing.


A charming family tratoria in the heart of the Wilderness Village

Pomodoro is the meeting place of the locals and you will always find it buzzing with activity. The outside terraces offer a front row seat of the village activities which, together with the laid-back atmosphere and great food - the perfect place to while away the hours.

Owner Claudio will warmly welcome you to this restaurant which they have worked so hard to make the best in the Wilderness. Pomodoro Restaurant is very serious about the quality of the food they serve. The pizzas are possibly the best on the Garden Route and the beautiful salads, antipasto, pastas, grills and seafood never fail to satisfy.
